I Am Odd

I am odd and you are not.
You are a conformist,
embracing the norm;
while I have formed
an aversion to it.
Put us together
and what we have got
is not symbiosis but
a crisis.
And this is important.
For, in want of a mutual dependency
lies a tendency - to rot.
