Stand you there in bright whiteness;
Clear radiance you shine in the apple tree lee:
Nestled in sturdy lightness your petals;
Transformed from creamy gold,
Burst forth in the greyness to gleam in sunlight.
Dense spikes of fragrance you stand stalwart sentinel;
Flowers thrown open to sing in the glooming:
A cheer to the soul in dullness;
Sweetly resolute; unflagging;
In showery dampness.
Blessing do you bring in the narrowness;
Praise to hurry and bustle of life:
In your succulent verdant foliage;
Gentle you chorus with beauty a stillness;
I rejoice, heart warmed at you gift.
